Steel first. Then, stone.

Scroll to watch a column cage come together bar by bar, tie by tie, a footing mat weave in below, then the concrete rise over it. Every tie is doing structural work.

Footing Mats & Cages

Two-way footing mats and dowel cages, set to elevation and bar placement per the approved structural drawings, not a field guess.

  • Top & bottom two-way mats
  • Dowel cages set to elevation
  • Bar placement per approved drawings
  • Clean laps, no field improvising
02

Columns & Walls

Vertical cages tied to the specified tie and hoop spacing, hooks turned the right way, wall curtains set plumb and to cover.

  • Ties/hoops at specified spacing
  • 135° seismic hooks where called out
  • Wall curtains set plumb, to cover
  • Splice locations per the schedule
03

Slab Reinforcing

Slab-on-grade and elevated slab bar and mesh, chaired to spec height, top and bottom mats where the drawings call for them.

  • Slab-on-grade & elevated slab bar
  • Chaired to spec height
  • Top & bottom mats where called out
  • Joint dowels placed to plan
04

Dowels & Epoxy Anchors

Post-installed dowels and epoxy anchors set per the engineer's detail: embedment, edge distance, and adhesive cure held before load.

  • ICC-ES listed adhesive systems
  • Embedment & edge distance per detail
  • Hole prep to manufacturer spec
  • Cure time held before load
05

Shop-Fab & Field Tying

Bar list takeoff straight off the structural set, CRSI-standard shop bends, and field tying crews sized for your schedule.

  • Bar list takeoff from the structural set
  • CRSI-standard shop bends & hooks
  • Field tying crews for tight schedules
  • Mill certs on file by heat number

PT Coordination

Reinforcing sequenced around tendon runs and anchorage zones, coordinated with the post-tensioning sub so nobody fights for the same three inches.

  • Reinforcing sequenced around tendons
  • Anchorage zone congestion avoided
  • Coordinated with the PT stressing schedule
  • Non-prestressed steel clear of duct paths

Inspector language · 01

Built to the drawings.

Every cage and mat gets tied to the approved bar placement drawings and structural details. Nothing gets placed off memory, and nothing gets buried before it matches the sheet.

Inspector language · 02

Lap lengths honored.

Splice length and stagger follow the engineer's lap schedule. Sample figure: a typical Class B lap on our shop details runs 40 bar diameters. Your project's own lap schedule always governs.

Inspector language · 03

Chairs & clearances right.

Bar chairs, dobies and spacers set to hold specified clear cover before the pour, checked and photographed before we call for inspection. First-pass sign-offs are the point.

ASTM A615 Grade 60 bar stock as the typical shop standard; mill certs kept on file by heat number, available on request. Any spacing, lap length or embedment figures on this page are sample values for illustration; your project's structural drawings always govern the actual placement.

How it works

Four steps.
Zero improvising.

1

Step oneTakeoff & Bar List

We pull the bar list straight off the structural drawings: size, grade, hook type, lap schedule. Ordered to spec before anything gets bent.

2

Step twoShop Fabrication

Cut and bent to CRSI-standard hooks and dimensions in the shop, tagged and bundled by pour sequence so field crews aren't hunting for bar.

3

Step threeField Placement & Tying

Cages and mats set and tied to the plan. Chairs, clearances and splice locations checked as we go, not after the fact.

4

Step fourInspection & Pour Sign-Off

We walk the placement with the special inspector, correct anything flagged on the spot, and clear it for pour.
