These terms apply when you use this website and when you become a client of SF Trade Studio ("we", "us"). We have kept them short and readable on purpose. If anything here is unclear, ask us before you sign up rather than after.
A custom website, built specifically for your company and your trade. What is included is agreed with you in writing before any work starts, and the price you are quoted is the price you pay.
A fixed-scope project in which we design and build your business website. What is included is whatever we agree with you in writing before work starts. If something is not in that written scope, it is not included, and we will quote it separately rather than assume. Ongoing hosting, care and any growth work after launch are quoted separately and are never assumed.
The work depends on things only you can supply: your licence details, photographs of your jobs, the services you offer, the areas you cover, and prompt answers when we ask a question. Timelines we discuss assume you come back to us within a couple of working days. If material is slow to arrive, the schedule moves with it.
You confirm that any content you give us, including photographs, logos and text, is yours to use, and that any trade licence, certification or insurance you ask us to display is current and accurate.
Email hello@sftradestudio.com and tell us. We do not charge a cancellation fee. If the build has already started, the first 50% is not returned, because it pays for design and build time already spent on your project. You keep everything produced up to that point, and the second 50% is never charged.
Whatever happens, we will hand back the content and images you gave us. Ask us within 30 days and we will export the site's content for you at no charge.
If we have not yet started work, tell us within 7 days of your first payment and we will refund it in full, no questions.
Once design work has started, the first 50% is not refundable. It is not a penalty and it is not kept for nothing: whatever we have made by then is handed to you - the designs, the copy, the files. You are never left with nothing, and you are never billed the second half.
Hosting and ongoing care are quoted separately from the build, and what you have is set out in your written proposal. If you own your domain name, it stays yours and we simply point it at the site. If we register a domain on your behalf, we will transfer it to you on request at any time.
We will say this plainly because the industry usually does not. We cannot and do not guarantee a particular search ranking, a number of leads, a number of calls, or an amount of revenue. Those depend on your market, your pricing, your reputation and how you follow up. What we guarantee is the work: a professional site, built properly, maintained, and changed when you ask.
We aim for continuous availability, but no website is up every second of every year. We do not promise uninterrupted service, and brief outages are not grounds for a refund.
We will not publish content that is false, misleading, unlawful, or that infringes someone else's rights, and we will not display a trade licence or credential that is not current. If we are asked to, we will decline, and if it is already live we will remove it.
To the extent the law allows, our total liability arising out of the service is limited to the fees you have paid us in the three months before the claim. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses such as lost profit or lost business opportunity. Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.
We may end the agreement with 30 days' written notice, or immediately if these terms are seriously breached. If we end it for convenience, we will refund any part of the month you have paid for and have not used.
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, and the courts of Santa Clara County have jurisdiction over any dispute. Before anyone goes to court, both sides agree to try to settle the matter by talking, in good faith, for at least 30 days.
Programme. SF Trade Studio operates a text message programme for people who ask to be texted. We use it to reply to enquiries made on this website, to confirm and remind booked consultations, to talk about a project in progress, and to notify our own clients when a lead arrives on the website we built and host for them. It is not a marketing list.
How you join. By ticking the box marked "Text me about this enquiry" on our booking form, or by texting us first on 510-431-2390. The box is never ticked for you, and consent is not a condition of any purchase: you can book, buy and work with us without ever agreeing to a text.
How often. Message frequency varies and depends on your own enquiry or project. There is no fixed schedule and no bulk send.
Cost. We charge nothing for texts. Message and data rates may apply from your own mobile carrier.
How you stop. Reply STOP to any message and we will stop immediately and send one confirmation that we have. Reply HELP for help, or contact us any other way and simply ask. You may rejoin at any time by asking.
Carriers. Mobile carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Delivery is not guaranteed on every network.
Privacy. No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent will not be shared with any third parties. See our Privacy Policy.
Help. hello@sftradestudio.com or 510-431-2390.
If we change these terms we will update the date at the top and email existing clients at least 30 days before the change takes effect. If you do not accept a change, you may cancel before it starts and you will not be billed again.
