Privacy Policy

This policy explains, in plain language, what information we collect when you use sftradestudio.com, why we collect it, and what we do with it. We have tried to write it the way we would explain it to you on the phone.

What we collect

• Information you give us. When you book a call or request a Visibility Check, we collect your name, phone number, email address, business name where you provide it, and the appointment time you choose.
• Payment information. If you become a client, payment is taken by Stripe. Your card details go directly to Stripe and are never seen by, sent to, or stored on our systems. We see only your name, business name, email and whether a payment succeeded.
• Basic visit statistics. Pages viewed, approximate region, device type and referring source. This is aggregate and is not used to identify you personally.
• Standard server logs. Our host records IP address and browser type for security and abuse prevention.

What we do not collect

• We do not collect card, bank or financial account numbers.
• We do not collect government identifiers such as a Social Security number.
• We do not buy contact lists or enrich your record with data bought from third parties.
• We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 16.

How we use it

• To reply to you and hold the appointment you booked.
• To prepare and deliver the work you have asked us to do.
• To take payment and keep accurate billing records.
• To understand which pages and campaigns are useful, so we can improve the site.
• To meet our legal, tax and accounting obligations.

We will not add you to a marketing list from a booking alone. If we ever start a newsletter, it will be opt-in and every message will carry a one-click unsubscribe.

Text messages

We text you only if you asked us to. On the booking form there is a separate tick box for it, and it is never ticked for you. Booking does not depend on it, and if you leave it alone we will use the phone number to call you and nothing else.

If you do opt in, we text you about your own enquiry, your booking and your project. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP at any time to stop, or reply HELP for help, and you can also just tell us.

No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent will not be shared with any third parties. Your number is passed only to the messaging provider that physically delivers the message on our behalf, and to nobody else.

Who we share it with

We share information only with the providers that make this business run, and only to the extent each one needs:

• Netlify hosts this website and receives the form submissions.
• Forward Email and Google (Gmail) carry and store our email.
• Stripe processes payments and subscriptions.
• Twilio delivers our text messages, if you asked to be texted.
• Google Analytics provides the aggregate visit statistics, where enabled.

We do not sell or rent personal information, and we have never done so. We will disclose information if we are legally required to, and we will tell you unless the law prevents us.

How long we keep it

• Enquiries that do not become clients: up to 24 months, then deleted.
• Client records: for the life of the engagement and then as long as tax and accounting law requires, which in California is generally seven years.
• Visit statistics: retained in aggregate only.

Cookies

This site sets no advertising cookies and runs no third-party ad trackers. Where analytics is enabled it may set a first-party cookie to tell a returning visit from a new one. Blocking cookies in your browser will not stop any part of this site from working.

Your rights

Wherever you live, we will honour these on request. If you are a California resident, the CCPA and CPRA give you them as a matter of law:

• Ask what personal information we hold about you.
• Ask for a copy of it.
• Ask us to correct anything that is wrong.
• Ask us to delete it, subject to records we must keep by law.
• Ask us not to sell or share it. We do not do either, so this is already the case.

We will never treat you differently for exercising any of these rights. To make a request, email hello@sftradestudio.com and we will respond within 30 days.

Security

The site is served over HTTPS with HSTS. Payments are handled entirely by Stripe, a PCI Level 1 provider. Access to enquiry data is limited to the people who need it to do the work. No system is perfectly secure, and we will not pretend otherwise: if a breach ever affects your information, we will tell you promptly and tell you what we are doing about it.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy we will update the date at the top of the page. If the change is significant and affects existing clients, we will email you as well.
